Solar Photovoltaic

Solar photovoltaic panels are an important part of the solar energy system. A photovoltaic panel, or cell, is what collects the sunlight for conversion into electricity. Without a photovoltaic panel, solar power would not be possible.

A solar photovoltaic panel is commonly referred to as a pv panel or a pv cell. Those considering switching to solar power in their homes need to be sure the pv panels chosen are the right size and shape for the house. Choosing panels that are too small or that won't fit properly on the roof will cause problems within the system, such as not producing as much electricity as anticipated.

Solar photovoltaic panels need to be installed correctly. The solar power system is quite complicated and it's usually recommended that an experienced engineer or electrician be hired to help with the planning and installation of the system in order to ensure it is done properly and to code requirements set forth by the region. Installing a solar energy system is not recommended for a do-it-yourselfer that does not have experience with solar power systems, solar inverters and batteries.
