Solar flood lights

Solar flood lights have one great advantage over regular flood lights, and that is their ability to be placed anywhere. There are self-contained units. Unlike standard electrical flood lights, there is no need for trenching and cables to be put in place to power the unit. This means fewer disturbances to the landscape and also the advantage of being able to illuminate areas where you are most at risk.

A solar flood light consists of a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel, a high-powered light emitting diode (LED) and a rechargeable battery. A LED is used because of its high efficiency, minimal drain on the solar power source and its 100,000 hours of illumination.

As with most solar lights, it is important to place the solar panel in a position that allows for maximum exposure to the sun.  But unlike standard lights, a solar flood light has a built-in movement sensor, automatically turning on when movement is detected and turning completely off during the day to recharge the battery.
If a power-cut occurs, a property can be at its most vulnerable. Alarms are down and lights are off. With solar flood lights, you will still have the security to ward of potential invaders, even when the whole street is without power.
