Solar Ovens

Having the portable solar power aboard an RV or boat to power a standard electrical oven is not possible, simply because there is not enough space on the vehicles to install the necessary solar panels. But there is a solar alternative to using an electric or gas oven that is highly portable.

The Global Sun Oven is the worlds most widely used solar oven. The Global Sun Oven is a lightweight portable device that will reach temperatures of 360 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. This solar oven is capable of performing all the tasks of a conventional oven with no strain on fossil fuel consumption.

It can be set-up and taken down in a matter of seconds. The reflectors that catch the suns rays and power the oven are made of high-shine, mirror-like aluminum that will never rust. There is also a built-in thermometer that helps you monitor the temperature and get perfect cooking results.

A leveling leg at the base of the solar oven lets you adjust the angle of the oven to follow the curve of the sun.
Eco-friendly insulation keeps the cooked food warm for hours and means that the oven can be used on any sunny day regardless of the temperature. This has been proven successfully at the base camp on Mt. Everest.
Although the Global Sun Oven is more expensive that other models of solar oven, it cannot be beaten in terms of performance and design.
